The survey bot makes life easier for your affiliate network’s managers. It helps them get to know new affiliates: learn their preferences, vertical, experience, and other information that’s useful to you.
How It Works
After signing up, the affiliate gets a welcome message in Telegram from their personal manager.
Hey! I’m your personal manager at the Akvolabean affiliate network. To get to know each other better, go fill out a quick survey with @AlterDummyBot, it’ll take less than a minute.
The message is sent in the affiliate’s own language. To dodge anti-spam filters, we tweak the message text slightly every time.
The survey bot invites the affiliate to fill out a short questionnaire. It can include any number of questions, but we recommend no more than five, so you don’t waste the affiliate’s time. Questions come with preset answer options – there’s no manual text entry. That saves the affiliate’s time too and boosts the completion rate. Once the survey’s done, the affiliate gets a thank-you note, and their manager gets the completed questionnaire.

What We Need From the Customer
We recommend setting up the bot to work in two languages – Russian and English, since those are the ones your affiliate network supports. It’s best to provide the texts in both languages right away. For English-language examples, see this same article.

List of Your Network’s Managers
For every manager on your network who takes part in distributing affiliates, we need the following data:
- User ID on the network. You can find it in the API-ID field on your network’s Profile page.
- Telegram user ID. You can get it by sending the
/whoamicommand to our bot @AlterCPATalkBot, which is probably already in your network’s general chat
A Telegram Application
Sending out messages requires setting up your own application in Telegram. We recommend doing this under the network owner’s account, or that of the responsible technical specialist.
- Sign in with your Telegram account at: https://my.telegram.org
- Go to the “API Development tools” section
- Fill in your application details. Pick any name you like. For the site, use your network’s address. Set the application type to Desktop.
- Click Create application and send the resulting API ID and hash to the AlterCPA technical specialist setting up your bot.
Attention! This information is confidential – don’t share it in your network’s general chat.
Connecting Your Managers
Once the bot is configured and ready to go, we’ll need to activate your managers’ accounts.
Each manager will need to do the following:
- Stay reachable for five minutes and not disappear
- Provide the phone number their corporate Telegram account is linked to.
- Wait for the activation message to arrive and forward it as a screenshot to the responsible AlterCPA specialist.
Important! The activation code can’t be sent as text or forwarded as a message – that will invalidate it. Screenshots only.
